Construction Site Superintendent

Position Summary

Arrow Builders is looking for an experienced Construction Site Superintendent to lead on-site construction for high-end, custom residential projects throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, primarily on the Peninsula and South Bay. This role is ideal for someone who takes ownership of their work, fosters teamwork, and values integrity in leadership.

As Construction Site Superintendent, you will be the on-the-ground leader—managing subcontractors, coordinating with the Principal/Owner, and working closely with architects, designers, and clients to bring projects to life. You’ll set the tone with clear communication, problem-solving, and accountability on-site, ensuring projects stay on schedule and meet our high-quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead with Ownership & Purpose: Oversee daily site operations, keep projects on track, and proactively address challenges before they arise.

  • Support & Elevate Your Team: Provide clear guidance and mentorship to field crews, subcontractors, and trade partners, creating a culture of collaboration and respect.

  • Ensure Quality & Excellence: Review design plans, anticipate constructability challenges and collaborate with the team to maintain the highest level of craftsmanship.

  • Manage Costs & Resources Efficiently: Optimize site logistics, mobilize resources appropriately to ensure that labor and materials align with budget goals.

  • Stay Organized & Flexible: Maintain accurate project records and adapt to changing schedules and priorities with confidence.

  • Prioritize Safety & Compliance: Enforce OSHA standards, conduct safety assessments and tailgate safety meetings, and ensure all protocols are current.

  • Drive Growth & Innovation: Bring a continuous improvement mindset—remain open to feedback and new ideas that enhance efficiency and project outcomes.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in high-end residential construction.

  • A calm and confident communicator, able to build trust with clients, architects, and field teams.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.

  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks while keeping an eye on details.

  • Integrity-driven, handling responsibilities with professionalism and discretion.

  • Tech-savvy and adaptable, comfortable using project management software and digital tools.

  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply—Spanish-speaking skills are a plus!
